Profile

Viola graduated with a Professional Diploma in Physiotherapy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1983. She worked in Hong Kong in various specialties before coming to Canada in the 90s. She worked at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in all the inpatient units and was in the Brain Injury program before her retirement. She was also involved in various research projects in Holland Bloorview. She also worked as a private contractor in the community with children with various conditions. Viola has a passion working with kids and families to achieve their maximal functional outcomes and goals. Viola has taken many post-graduate courses in the areas of cardiorespiratory, orthopaedics and neurodevelopment. She has completed the 8 weeks paediatric Bobath (NDT) course, Advance NDT gait course, NDT Baby Treatment, CME I and II, Paediatric Kinesiotaping, Myofascial release I, II and Paediatric ( John Barnes), Mary Massery Breathing and movement, Dynamic core and postural control for kids, Neuro-visual Rehabilitation, Astronaut Training, Exploring Auditory Defensiveness. Viola is a member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapist of Ontario. Viola provides home visits in Thornhill and Richmond Hill.
