Moira Bayne
PTA, GCFP®, BA
Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant
Moira received her physiotherapy assistant diploma in 2011 and has over 15 years of experience in movement therapy. She also has training as a Feldenkrais® practitioner. She has experience working at a children’s therapy centre where she was a physiotherapy assistant and bike program manager. She specializes in using bikes, scooters, and ride-on toys to challenge, motivate, and evoke new motor learning in children with special needs. Giving children a fun physical way to get outside with friends and family while boosting their agility, mobility, coordination, strength, and balance has led her to refine and adapt how she tailors bikes, scooters, and ride-on toys to specific children. She works with children with a wide range of strengths, needs, and diagnoses including autism (ASD), Angelman Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, and more. The look of delight on a child’s face when they realize they can reach their goals fuels her passion to run alongside and cheer them on. Moira provides home visits in Toronto and biking sessions out of our clinic location.
