Occupational Therapist
Michaela completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto after obtaining her Bachelors of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology with a certificate in Disability and Physical Activity from Queen’s University. Michaela has experience working as a personal support worker with paediatric clients with disabilities such as autism and cerebral palsy, as a physical activity coach, and as an Inclusion Specialist in a recreation setting. She has worked in a variety of settings with a paediatric population and has completed OT placements at the Hospital for Sick Children, the YMCA Academy, and Paediatric Physiotherapy Associates. Michaela has a passion for enabling children to participate in meaningful activities and overcome barriers to achieve their goals! In her free time, Michaela enjoys spending time outside with family and friends and her dog, Shiloh. She also enjoys playing sports and listening to music (especially Taylor Swift)!
Michaela is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is currently practicing under a provisional license. She provides home visits in Scarborough and Markham and clinic visits at Variety Village.
