Profile

Meridel received her OTA & PTA diploma from Humber College and completed field placements at Lakeridge Health: Whitby Hospital (orthopaedics), Sinai Health: Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital (inpatient stroke) and Toronto East Health Network: Michael Garron Hospital (ICU, General Medicine). She enjoys the meaningful, active and relational role of being an OTA & PTA while journeying with clients towards their goals. Meridel has extensive experience working with children and loves their innate sense of wonder and joy around nature. She was a local day camp director, elementary school classroom volunteer and a one-one-one inclusion counsellor at a day camp for kids with exceptionalities. She also worked at a day program for neurodiverse adults and is a respite care worker for a medically complex child. Meridel is currently attending Durham College, pursuing her graduate certificate to be a Communicative Disorders Assistant in order to broaden her skillset supporting rehab therapists.
