Laurin has completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto and her Honours Bachelor of Science majoring in Kinesiology and minoring in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Waterloo. She has experience treating kids with neurological, developmental, behavioural, and orthopaedic conditions. Laurin has previously worked at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital with the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Team helping people experiencing prolonged symptoms following concussion. She has also worked with Hypertonia Clinics and was a physiotherapist on the Specialized Orthopaedic Developmental Rehabilitation, Brain Injury Rehabilitation Team, and Complex Continuing Care in-patient units. She has also worked with people who have experienced conditions such as Long COVID. Laurin currently works at the Hospital for Sick Children on the Oncology, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Neurological Surgery units.
Laurin has completed courses in Vestibular Rehabilitation, Pelvic Physiotherapy (Levels 1, 2, 3), Running Rehabilitation, Acupuncture and Dry Needling, Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, Gait&Orthoses, and Neurodevelopmental Treatment. Laurin has also participated in additional training in managing complex behaviours such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. Laurin is a thoughtful and adaptable physiotherapist with a passion for creating safe spaces for clients and their families to learn and grow. She understands the importance of empowering families and caregivers through education. Laurin is a registered physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
