Grace is a first-year Master of Science, Physical Therapy student at the University of Toronto. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Performance and Injury Management at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2024. Grace has many years of experience working as a physiotherapy assistant in multiple clinics, where she worked with clients of all ages to improve mobility, coordination, function and strength. Recently, Grace completed a 6-week student placement at Scarborough Health Network Centenary in paediatrics, working with children in a variety of capacities. She gained experience in assessing and treating infant motor development, sports injury rehabilitation, torticollis and head shape management, sudden-growth injuries and more! She also has experience shadowing paediatric physiotherapists at Toronto Kids Physio Group as a physical therapy student volunteer. She has enjoyed working with clinicians to learn more about the role of paediatric physiotherapy in a child's development and how to make physio fun and engaging! When not in school, Grace enjoys going to pilates classes with friends, running, reading, and walking at the lake with her puppy Addie. She has always had a passion for working with children and has had the goal of becoming a paediatric physiotherapist for many years. In working towards this goal, Grace is excited to join the team and provide fun and engaging fitness and hydrotherapy sessions at Variety Village.
