Andrea Rabel Physiotherapist
Andrea graduated with a Bachelor of Science. in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa in 2003, followed by a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from University of Toronto in 2015. She has worked at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab Hospital since 2003, in both inpatient and outpatient roles. Andrea has worked with children with a wide variety of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, including cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, spinal muscular atrophy, amputation, rheumatology, persistent pain, burns, and their families to maximize their independence and participation in meaningful activities. Andrea has participated in many continuing education courses and conferences over the years and enjoys incorporating a variety of approaches with each child to support them and their family’s goals. Some of these course include: NDT (Intermediate and Baby); Bobath Concept (15 day basic course); Myofascial release level 1 (Barnes); various courses in SCI management; Pediatric Kinesiotaping; Foot and ankle deformity management with orthoses (Bev Cusick), “If you can’t breathe, you can’t function” (Mary Massery); Degrees of Freedom and Dynamic Core for Kids (Shelley Mannell). Andrea has a status appointment with the University of Toronto and is a member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She provides service at the Variety Village Clinic.
